Another Qualification

So today I took my Microsoft SQL Exam, 70-431 and passed it.

I guess this means now I’m supposedly a “database guru” there’s no excuse for various new forum features.

On a more important, Nurburgring note. I found out today about a “track walk” that they offer. Basically after hours, you can go and look around the track and walk the decent corners etc to give you an idea of how steep they may be, or how long a straight is.. Sounds ace, see this link:

Itinerary Set!

So I’ve finally got round to booking the ferry, and because of this, am now able to set an itinary for the trip.

Friday 15th May.
16:00 - Leave Home
17:00 - Check in and board ferry
17:01 - Go to bar

Saturday 16th May.
09:30 - Depart Ferry and head South-East on E34
10:30 - Meet you Calais Sailors in Malgadem for Breakfast.
11:30 - Head off to the Nurburgring via the suggested scenic (and de-restricted) route.
15:00 - Arrive at the Nurburgring
15:00 - 19:30 - TRACK TIME / VIEWING TIME
20:30 - Arrive Sliders Guest House
20:31 - Go to the Bar.

Sunday 17th May.
07:00 - Get Up, Breakfast
08:00 - Leave for Nurburgring
08:30 - Arrive Nurburgring
08:30 - 11:30 - TRACK TIME / VIEWING TIME
12:00 - Leave Nurburgring
16:00 - Arrive, Zeebrugge / Board Ferry
16:01 - Reacquaintance with bar.

Monday 18th May.
08:15 - Depart Ferry and head home
09:00 - Arrive Home

I would be grateful if either Barrym, or andywilson can stick up their itineraries so we can get an idea of how all this is going to fit together.

Server Problems

March 20th, 2009

After not hearing anything back in the Nurburgring thread on www.tdocuk.com about the bargain rooms we’d managed to square; I was a bit confused, then gutted today when no-one was interested again.

After looking at it, it seems like since the 18th March 2009 the server has been unable to send notification emails, AT ALL.

I guess I’ll have to raise a support call with HostRocket (my provider) and take it from there :-(

On a lighter note, the tests of the GPS stuff seem to have worked well.. Next, onto camcorders! :-)

Problems with hotels

So it appears that the weekend we’ve chosen is one of the busiest in the entire year at the Nuerburgring. After a long drive down to Oxford on business and using almost a whole battery’s worth of talktime on my iPhone I finally hunted down a lovely little place called Sliders:

Preparations begin!

So we’ve set a date, 16th and 17th of May 2009 and found a hotel (http://www.hotel-an-der-nordschleife.de/hotel/)

The next step was to find a group of people, hopefully around 5 cars if possible. Looks like a bunch of people from www.tdocuk.com could be interested.

I guess at some point I should write a ticklist of things that are needed, but that’ll wait for another day!
